Subscription Policy
This policy explains how Quotify Premium works: what it unlocks, how it is billed
through Google Play, how to cancel it, and what happens afterwards. It forms part of
the Terms of Use.
Developer: LumaDay
Billing: Google Play
Effective: August 18, 2026
1. What Quotify Premium includes
Quotify is free to download and use. Premium is optional and lifts the limits of the
free plan.
Scans and tag suggestions draw on one shared counter of AI requests. Daily counters
reset each day and monthly counters at the start of each month. Unused requests do not
carry over.
2. Plans and prices
- Premium is offered as a weekly, monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription.
- Prices are set per country and shown in your local currency inside the app and in Google Play before you confirm. Taxes are included or added according to the rules of your country, as displayed by Google Play.
- The price, billing period and any introductory conditions shown on the purchase screen at the moment of confirmation are the ones that apply to that purchase.
- Occasionally a discounted annual offer is shown. Its price and duration are displayed on the offer screen and in Google Play before purchase.
3. Free trials and introductory offers
- A plan may include a free trial. Its length is shown on the purchase screen.
- A trial converts into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.
- Trials and introductory prices are available once per Google account per plan, as determined by Google Play. Google Play decides eligibility, not the app.
- Cancelling during a trial keeps Premium active until the trial period ends; nothing is charged.
4. Billing and renewal
- All payments are processed by Google Play with the payment method on your Google account. LumaDay never receives your card details.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your account is charged within 24 hours before the new period begins.
- Renewal continues until you cancel. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it and does not stop the charges.
- If a payment fails, Google Play retries it and may place the subscription on hold or in a grace period - see section 8.
- Google Play sends the receipt and keeps the purchase history under your Google account.
5. How access is unlocked
After a purchase, the app sends the Google Play purchase token together with a signed
identifier of your Quotify account to our verification service, which checks the
purchase against the Google Play Developer API and links Premium to your account. This
is what prevents one purchase from unlocking many accounts.
Premium therefore follows your Quotify account, while billing follows
your Google account. Signing into Quotify on another device with the
same Quotify account gives you Premium there too. The state of the subscription is also
cached on the device so Premium keeps working briefly while you are offline.
If verification cannot be completed - for example because you are offline - the app
retries automatically. If Premium still does not appear after a successful payment, use
Restore on the plans screen, and write to us if that does not help.
6. How to cancel
As the developer we cannot cancel a subscription for you - only Google Play can. Cancel
it yourself at any time:
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the Quotify subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions.
You can also do it at
play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the period you
already paid for.
Deleting the app or your Quotify account does not cancel the subscription.
Cancel it in Google Play first.
7. Refunds
- Purchases are made from Google, so refunds are handled through Google Play. Request one at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory or through Google Play support.
- Google applies its own refund rules, including its short window for self-service refunds after purchase.
- Statutory consumer rights come on top of that. In the EU, the UK and other jurisdictions with a withdrawal right for digital services, that right may end once you start using the service within the withdrawal period, where you agreed to immediate performance at the moment of purchase.
- Where the app was faulty and Premium could not be used at all, write to us at lumadaystudio@gmail.com - we will look into it and support your refund request with Google.
- Partial periods are not refunded when you cancel voluntarily; the subscription simply runs to the end of the paid period.
8. Grace period, account hold, pause
- Grace period - a payment failed and Google Play is retrying. Premium stays active while it lasts; fix your payment method in Google Play to keep it.
- On hold - the retries failed. Premium is switched off until payment succeeds; if it does, access returns automatically.
- Paused - you paused the subscription in Google Play. Premium is off during the pause and resumes on the date Google Play indicates.
- Canceled - no further renewal, but Premium remains until the end of the paid period.
- The app shows the current state, the start date, and the next billing or expiry date on the subscription screen.
9. What happens when Premium ends
- Your quotes, folders, tags, authors, books and playlists are not deleted. Nothing you saved is lost.
- Free-plan limits apply again: you can keep browsing, editing and deleting everything you have, but adding new quotes above the free limit, or new folders above it, requires Premium again.
- AI requests fall back to the free allowance, and AI tag suggestions and folder styling are locked.
- Resubscribing restores full access immediately.
10. Restoring a purchase
On a new device, or after reinstalling, sign into Quotify with the same account and open
the plans screen, then tap Restore. The app queries Google Play for
active purchases on your Google account and re-verifies them. Make sure you are signed
into the Google account that made the purchase.
11. Changes to plans, limits and prices
- We may change the contents of the free plan and of Premium as the app develops. Changes never remove content you already saved.
- Prices may change. Google Play notifies existing subscribers of a price increase in advance and asks for consent where its rules require it; if you do not accept, you can cancel before the new price applies.
- This policy may be updated. The current version is always published here with its effective date.
